Carolyn Evans-Hammond says A meaty nose of blood with a metalic edge followed by flavours of blood, earth, metals and minerals. Some leather and black cherry notes as well. Deep and long with good balance.

Carolyn Evans-Hammond says A smooth wine with flavours of apricot, red cherries, spice, minerals, red plum and earth. Quite concentrated. Ripe balanced tannins. Interesting finish of warm spiced bread.

Carolyn Evans-Hammond says A typical nose of ripe berries, spice and smoke. And on the palate, berries, pepper, spice and a slight smokiness exists but the fruit is not concentrated enough to create the right balance. Not a good example from the region.

Carolyn Evans-Hammond says Aromas of cherry and chocolate precede flavours of pepper and black forest fruits. Tight structure. Long. Needs time in bottle to round out. Taste in a few years.
